Conditional Disclosure of Secrets (CDS) is the problem in which a set of (non-interacting) parties reveal a secret to a receiver if and only if a predicate is true. We will see results from the Crypto 2017 paper by Liu, Vaikuntanathan and Wee in which they demonstrated a connection between CDS schemes and a class of PIR (Private Information Retrieval) schemes and in the process, described the first CDS scheme with sub-exponential communication complexity.
