IEEE RTS 2020 Test-of-Time Award

The following paper authored by former faculty members of TIFR received the prestigious IEEE RTS 2020 Test-of-Time Award, jointly with three other papers.
Mathai Joseph and Paritosh Pandya, Finding response times in a real-time system, The Computer Journal, Vol.29, Issue 5, pp:390–395, 1986
When the paper was written, Prof. Pandya was a computer science PhD student of Prof. Mathai Joseph at TIFR.

Swarna Jayanti Fellow : Dr. Hariharan Narayanan

Dr.Hariharan Narayanan has been awarded the prestigious Swarna Jayanti Fellowship by DST, GOI for the year 2019-20.

Best paper award at IFIP Performance 2020

The paper, "Network Speed Scaling" co-authored by Dr. Rahul Vaze, received the best paper award at IFIP Performance 2020.

Neha Sangwan has been awarded the TCS Research Scholarship

Neha Sangwan, graduate student in the School of Technology and Computer Science, has been awarded the TCS Research Scholarship.

STCS welcomes Shibashis Guha

Dr. Shibashis Guha joins the School of Technology and Computer Science as a Reader. Shibashis's research interests include areas of formal methods together with algorithmic game theory, timed automata and Markov decision processes. Shibashis obtained his PhD in Computer Science from IIT Delhi, subsequent to which he was a post-doc at Hebrew University, Isreal and Universite libre de Bruxelles.

STCS welcomes Akshayaram Srinivasan

Dr. Akshayaram Srinivasan joins the School of Technology and Computer Science as a Reader. Akshayram's research interests include Theoretical Computer Science, with particular emphasis on the theory and applications of Cryptography. Akshayaram obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the Univ. California, Berkeley.
